PHYSICAL EDUCATION OPTION

Students desiring PE credit through CHS athletic participation must complete 2 sports medicine seminars taught during the school year of participation. The remaining seminars scheduled for the 2008 school year are as follows:

March 8 & 9th, South Unit, 2:45 - 6pm

April 26 & 27th, South Unit, 2:45 - 6pm

To receive credit for physical education an athlete must participate in 90% of the practices and compete in 90% of the meets. For varsity athletes that will require approximately 7 meets and for the reserve athletes they will be expected to participate in a minimum of 5 meets. Failure to meet these expectations for any reason will make the athlete ineligible to receive physical education credit. If meets are cancelled for any reason, those expectations may be adjusted and adjustments may be made as we progress through the season due to team needs. The coaching staff will determine a completion of a practice for an athlete, simply attending does not mean the athlete will get credit for the practice. Athletes in winter sports will receive credit for the time that they are competing in those sports.
