COACHES' BIOGRAPHIES

HEAD COACH - MARK BOHARDT
Coach Mark Bohardt taught English at CHS from 1973-1991. Mark brings a wealth of coaching experience to the team including many years as Head Coach and Assistant Coach. He was the Head Coach of the girls golf team from 1973-1976 and Assistant Coach for the boys and girls track team from 1975-1982. The girls came in state runner-up in 1980 and state champs in 1981. Mark continued his coaching career becoming Head Coach for the girls cross country team from 1979-1983. More recently, he worked as Assistant Coach for the girls Track Team from 2007-2009. Mark will also be an Assistant Coach for the boys cross country team starting in Fall 2009.

HEAD SPRINT COACH - FLOYD HORTON
(Head Sprint Coach, 100, 200, and Relays, and work with 400 Meter runners.) Coach Horton is in his fifth season at CHS after eighteen years as the Head Coach at Middletown High School. While at Middletown, he won a state championship in 2002 and his 2003 team was state runner-up. He has coached numerous state champions in the sprints. Coach Horton is a graduate of Fairview High School and Anderson University. He is employed as a teacher in the Middletown school system. Coach Horton brings great experience to the staff and is one the most highly respected sprint coaches in the state.

ASSISTANT COACH (HIGH JUMP, HURDLES, LONG JUMP) - BOB BOWMAN
Coach Bowman is entering his fifth season as a member of the girls coaching staff at Centerville High School. He has been teaching for 25 years in the Centerville district and is in his ninth year at CHS where he currently teaches AP U.S. History and is the class officers advisor. Bob is a graduate of Wright State University where he competed in cross country and received his Master's Degree from the University of Dayton. He has over 20 years of experience coaching track and cross country. As the Elks cross country coach, he led his teams to nine conference and eight district championships along with a regional championship and a state runner-up in 1998. Coach Bowman has coached numerous All-Ohio performers in track and cross country and has also coached several high school All-Americans during his tenure at Centerville. Coach Bowman began his coaching career at Northridge High School and also spent four years at Carroll High School before coming to CHS. bob.bowman@centerville.k12.oh.us

ASSISTANT COACH POLE VAULT/SPRINTS - STEPHANIE GEILENFELDT
Coach Geilenfeldt ran track in highschool as a sprinter.She enjoyed distance running more after high school. Coached middle shool cross country for 3 years and middle school track for 1 year. This is her second year coaching the Pole Vaulters at Centerville High School.

ASSISTANT COACH - AMY KREMER
Amy attended Minster High School and ran cross country, basketball, and track & field. She has been part of 6 state championships in her high school career (2 cross country, 1 basketball, and 3 track & field). She graduated in 2005 and earned a scholarship to run track and field at the University of Dayton. She was successful helping the UD team build their team to a 2nd place finish in the Atlantic 10 Conference. She holds the high jump indoor and outdoor record and the heptathalon and pentathalon record at UD. She coached track for Carroll high school and helped them win their conference championship during her senior year of college.
